Is your business catering to a specific group that other competitors aren't reaching? Do you provide a service that no one else does? The graphic design of your logo, brochures, posters, website, business cards and flyers should reflect that.
If you know the type of group or person your company will appeal to then why not design your communications to grab their attention? This is easier to do than configuring a brand identity that will appeal to everyone. As your market is smaller or more specific your graphic design service can produce material that targets them directly.
Find out how your niche behaves and brainstorm ways to grab and hold their attention. Do they spend a lot of time online or are you more likely to reach them with printed material?
If your niche group use the web regularly then something to think about is producing a blog on your industry. It's a topic you know a lot about and it's content that will appeal to your target audience and get them returning to your website.
